The dresser itself is not all made out of pine, the drawers are made of some really thin material (wood?). It took my husband 2 hours to put together, so not that bad. <br /> <br />edit- i've been using it now for two months, don't waste your money. the front part of the top drawer already broke off the rest of the drawer and it looks like the others are about to do the same. it just feels cheap all over, I don't understand why they didn't make it wood like the matching crib. edit- i’ve been using it now for two months, don’t waste your money. the front part of the top drawer already broke off the rest of the drawer and it looks like the others are about to do the same. it just feels cheap all over, I don’t understand why they didn’t make it wood like the matching crib.

We are very pleased with this piece -- much larger than I expected and well constructed. It really looks like a much more expensive piece. The construction wasn't difficult, although there are a lot of pieces. You will want to drill in starter holes to help with the screws in the back - we couldn't get them in without doing that. This seems to be a great value and we anticipate using this for some time. I would recommend this set (minus the changer -- not as sturdy) to anyone looking for a classic nursery set.
