Round Baby Cribs
Round baby cribs are really for newborns and babies up to say twelve months old. They really aren’t the most practical design for toddlers to sleep in. Unlike the more traditional sleigh cot, the round crib looks sweet but it does have some specific considerations.
First of all the standard advice before buying a round crib, in fact any crib; is ‘does the mattress come with it?’ Round mattresses are not a standard size and finding bedding can be a challenge. So find the mattress and the bedding supply first, then look for a round crib to suit. Doing it the other way around will often leave you with a pretty piece of mostly useless bedroom furniture.
Round baby cribs are unique nursery furniture items and often more expensive than traditional, modern or eco-friendly cribs. Little miss Liberty make some exquisite cribs but they are priced accordingly.
